Growing the IDA Network
Over this past year, the IDA has grown beyond its crucial network function and into an organisation with growing operational capacity. Tending to and growing the IDA network of rangers (more than 60 groups across the desert) continues to be core business for the IDA with our annual conferences and other events drawing rangers from all over the desert in large numbers.
In 2021/22, we have developed an operational arm of the IDA with experienced staff regularly working alongside ranger teams to support the delivery of fire programs, providing ecological and field support, and ranger mentoring and development.
