Cool Fire and Bright Skies at Muruntji

5 minute watch

Join the Aṉangu Luritjiku and Walungurru Ranger Teams from the Central Land Council with Traditional Owners mostly from Ikuntji community, as they travel to Muruntji - Cleland Hills on Haasts Bluff Aboriginal Land Trust (ALT), southwest of Papunya.

Several significant places were visited along the way to pass on knowledge to young people.

The cool days and nights provided ideal conditions to burn around these sites to protect them from big wildfires and keep country strong.

It was also a special time camping under the bright desert sky and feeling good on country.
